ISSUES
The challenges we address
Older people and their families, the front lines of medical and long-term care, and businesses: the challenges of a super-aged society take different forms for each.
01
Challenges for older households
People usually come to need serious care at an advanced age, and their children are often elderly themselves. From understanding the person’s wishes to meals, rehabilitation, medication and dementia care, it is hard for families to gather information and make quick decisions on their own.
02
Challenges in home medical and long-term care
As more older people live without relatives, it is increasingly unclear who speaks for them, signs contracts or pays. Professionals and community volunteers often step in without pay beyond their authority and responsibilities, and this “shadow work” has become a heavy burden.
03
Challenges for care facility operators
Staff and managers are stretched thin by daily care and often handle business planning on top of it. Preparing proposals that win internal support takes time, so many initiatives start late or stall.
04
Challenges for senior and end-of-life businesses
The senior market has its own characteristics, such as the many people involved in each decision. Companies often conclude that “there is no market” or “it doesn’t pay” without understanding community-based integrated care, purchasing behavior, or the relationship with government and the law.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Business development & management support
“Keiei no Mikata”

Under the motto “your trusted ally when business decisions get hard,” we provide business support focused on the social challenges of Japan’s low birthrate and aging population. We support the development of, investment in, acquisition of and alliances around businesses related to the lives and end-of-life planning of older people: care renovations, health and nutrition management in home care, care facilities such as paid nursing homes, the use of homes left vacant after a move, hospices, and everything from posthumous affairs to inheritance.
Beyond market research, stakeholder interviews, organizing business ideas and writing business plans, we work alongside you across a wide range of management areas, including medium- to long-term strategy, sales planning, recruitment planning and PR.

TRAINING & PUBLISHING
Training & teaching materials
We develop and publish training textbooks that systematize everything from the big picture of the end-of-life planning market and the basics of each service to the practice of care facility placement consulting. Combining diagrams with commentary, they are designed so readers can understand the content on their own, without an instructor.

For new business teams and sales departments learning the fundamentals
For training care facility placement consultants (4 volumes: basics, practice, advanced and exercises; about 21 hours of curriculum)
Up to date with laws and statistics as of October 2026, including upcoming amendments
We also take requests for training and study sessions for companies and organizations
Written in Japanese, with an English edition for readers outside Japan

PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP
Public–private partnerships & community co-creation
We take part in initiatives where government, public-interest corporations and private companies work together, starting with Yokohama, Japan’s largest municipality, and plan, propose and coordinate circular economic models that improve local challenges through public–private collaboration.
Public–private collaboration that struggled to move forward in government-led councils alone advances when government connects and advises private initiatives. This lets us involve many excellent private companies and support initiatives at speed.
Strengthening community functions and building community watch-over systems
Proposing multigenerational models for housing estate regeneration projects
Helping use new funding sources such as corporate hometown tax donations and dormant deposits
Hands-on support for the fundraising and management of private public-interest organizations
